Ocean County Democrats greeted many of the over 500 County Committee members elected in the 2022 Democratic Primary at a series of orientations held across the County. At each orientation, candidates for county committee were introduced to the resources made accessible to County Committee Members for grassroots organizing, discussed the Democratic platform, and reviewed our 2022 Guidebook.

The 120 write-in candidates and 416 candidates that were on the ballot were seated thanks to the 2022 Primary Election. The orientations served as an introduction to the purpose of the County Committee for new members, and a refresher and reminder of the resources available to veteran County Committee members. In each orientation, candidates heard from many speakers, including Chairman Wyatt Earp, former NJ Senate Candidate Emma Mammano, and several leaders from municipal clubs. We also heard from Congressional Candidates and their campaigns.

One important part of the Orientation was a discussion of future training sessions: Ocean County Democrats is planning several trainings for the summer in the leadup to the 2022 Midterm Election in November. These training sessions teach how to: Get Out The Vote, Communicate with Voters, and Effective Social Media for Political Organizing.
