The findings of the House Jan 6th Committee’s investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, mob attack on the Capitol  by followers of Donald Trump will be presented to the nation in eight (8) separate public hearings spread out over June. The attack on the Capitol, included  white supremacist groups who sought to block the peaceful transfer of power  is also the subject of an extensive criminal probe by the Justice Department.

Ocean Gate Mayor Paul Kennedy, Republican, has been arrested for using taxpayer funds for his own personal gain. This includes using public government contracts to renovate his private home. He has since been removed from office, but the Council members who knew of and ignored his corruption remain. Read the latest here.

Wade, upending half a century of precedence. Republicans have been scheming to accomplish this for decades, plotting to diminish women’s fundamental rights to privacy. It won’t stop there too- they hope to overturn Obergefell, the Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage, with their new ultra-conservative majority on the Supreme Court.

Chris Smith (R-NJ-04), longtime serving Republican Congressman and staunch opponent to Women’s Rights, is facing a battle on two fronts: one from his up-and-coming Democratic Challenger, Matt Jenkins this November, but also from Alt-Right candidate Mike Crispi. The Republican establishment is deeply divided in Ocean County. Having spent years nurturing ultra-nationalistic radical wing to the party devoted to Donald Trump, the Republican establishment is finding it difficult to keep this radical element of the party from cannibalizing their incumbent leadership.

This month, the Supreme Court leaked a draft majority opinion that would overturn the landmark decision Roe v. Wade. This is unprecedented, after the 3 Supreme Court (SCOTUS) Justices appointed by Trump belied to the Senate during their confirmation hearings, that they believed that Roe was the law of the land.

President Joe Biden had this to say about the leaked SCOTUS opinion:

The FBI is conducting a criminal investigation into Ocean County's hiring practices, according to a report.

Federal officials have subpoenaed Ocean County employment applications and personnel resolutions for the past five years, according to the Asbury Park Press. These documents include records of any raises, hiring decisions, and approved leaves of absences, the report said. The FBI ordered the Ocean County Board of Commissioners clerk to turn over related documents to a federal grand jury by May 5, the report said. County sources told the APP they believe the FBI is investigating allegations of a kickback scheme, according to the report.

FBI Investigating Corrupt Hiring Practices by County Republicans

The FBI is seeking employment applications from Ocean County government for the past five years, according to two subpoenas from the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

The subpoenas served to both Robert Greitz, director of Ocean County Department of Employee Relations, and Board of Commissioners Clerk Michelle Gunther seeks employment applications for employees hired by the county between 2017 and 2021 and “any referrals or other hiring correspondence from Ocean County Commissioners contained in what are commonly known as 'THE BLUE BOOKS(s)' for the same time period."
