Upcoming Events with the Ocean County Democrats

As we enter into the month of June, we want to highlight a few events we have coming up throughout the county.

PRIMARY ELECTION DAY is June 6th.  Please make sure you participate and vote, even in uncontested primaries.  Return your mail-in-ballot, vote early in person, or vote on election day, but make sure you vote and encourage Democratic friends and family to do the same.  It's good practice!  Be a resource to help others find their drop box, early voting location, and polling place.  That information can be found HERE.

On June 3rd at 8am, the Great Bay Democrats are hosting their annual flea market at the Little Egg Harbor Community Center.  This well-attended event allows the public to get acquainted with local Democrats in a non-political environment.  Stop by and grab a bargain or two, and support our Great Bay Democratic Club.  More information can be found HERE.

On June 10th, we have our Ocean County LGBTQ Caucus Pride Brunch Fundraiser.  This event is at 10am, right before the Toms River Pride Festival downtown.  Funds raised support LGBTQ candidates and allies running for office.  RSVP: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/PrideBrunch

That afternoon, please visit the LGBTQ Caucus table at the Toms River Pride Festival.  It's always a great day to celebrate LOVE in all its glorious forms!

Another option for Saturday afternoon is the Wind Works Rally, which has been put together by NJ Sierra Club, the NJ League of Conservation Voters, and various other environmental groups.  The goal of this rally is to combat the fossil-fuel industry-driven misinformation campaign that is jeopardizing NJ's off-shore wind development.  Environmental leaders and scientists recognize the necessity of investing in off-shore wind to mitigate the effects of global warming.  We can't allow a segment of misguided and misinformed individuals to stymie progress in this area.  The rally is on June 10th from 12-3 in Long Branch.  You can RSVP and get more information HERE.

On June 11th we have our Annual Luau Fundraiser, which is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.  County Committee members receive special pricing of $45 a ticket.  Sponsorships are available.  We expect some current and potential gubernatorial candidates to attend.  Please join your fellow Democrats for a fun afternoon in support of all our candidates in the 2023 cycle.  You can purchase tickets HERE.  And remember, if you become a member of the Chairman's Club, with a monthly donation of $25 you get complimentary access to all of our fundraisers as well as recognition at our events.  You can join the Chairman's Club HERE.
