President Barack Obama
Elected Nov. 2008, Term Expires Jan. 2013

President Obama's years of public service are based around his unwavering belief in the ability to unite people around a politics of purpose. In the Illinois State Senate, he passed the first major ethics reform in 25 years, cut taxes for working families, and expanded health care for children and their parents. As a United States Senator, he reached across the aisle to pass groundbreaking lobbying reform, lock up the world's most dangerous weapons, and bring transparency to government by putting federal spending online.

President Obama and his wife, Michelle, are the proud parents of two daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7.

Senator Frank Lautenberg
Reelected Nov. 2008, Term Expires Jan. 2015

Senator Lautenberg has always worked to improve the lives of New Jersey families. He has fought to save health insurance for thousands of children, reimburse military families who bought body armor for their loved ones serving in Iraq, modernize the G.I. Bill, strengthen Amtrak, increase security along our railroads and at our ports and chemical plants, reverse global warming, provide justice for victims of terrorism, make college more affordable, turn federal buildings "green" and protect our beaches and oceans.

Senator Lautenberg resides in Cliffside Park. He has a wife, Bonnie, four children and 11 grandchildren.

Senator Robert Menendez
Elected Nov. 2006, Term Expires Jan. 2013

Senator Menendez has served as a school board member, a mayor and a state legislator. Since 1993, he has been standing up for New Jersey families in Washington, where he rose to become the third- highest ranking Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives and has taken on a prominent leadership role in the U.S. Senate. In Congress, Bob is working to make a real difference in the lives of New Jerseyans. That includes working to achieve economic security for families by creating jobs, promoting clean energy development, providing tax relief, investing in education, making health care more affordable and protecting consumers.

Congressman John Adler (NJ-3)
Elected Nov. 2008, Term Expires Jan. 2011

Before his election to Congress, John served for seventeen years in the New Jersey State Senate. In addition to his role as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, John emerged as a leader on environmental and health related issues, homeland security, ethics reform, and reducing taxes on small business, middle class families and seniors. John wrote New Jersey's Smoke-Free Air Act, which became the state's premier public health law in January 2006. The bill prohibits smoking in indoor public places and has already spared thousands of people from the dangers of second-hand smoke.

John is the only New Jersey member to serve on the House Veterans Affairs Committee and he is the only New Jersey member in the majority to serve on the powerful Financial Service Committee. John's first bill in Congress was to provide tax relief for seniors and disabled veterans in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. When John reviewed the first draft of the economic recovery package, he realized that seniors and veterans were excluded from receiving a tax rebate. He worked quickly to fix the oversight, introducing the Safeguarding America's Seniors and Veterans Act, which was subsequently signed into law. His legislation was endorsed by the VFW, Disabled American Veterans and the AARP.

John and his wife, Shelley, live in Cherry Hill, where they are raising their four sons Jeffrey, Alex, Andrew, and Oliver.
